Bikini Athletic

Bikini Athletic models carry more muscle and display more conditioning than the bikini model category while still maintaining a shapely balanced physique that is evenly proportioned from upper to lower body.

Bikini Athletic Key Judging Elements

Bikini Athletic models should display:

  •  More overall muscle and fullness than a bikini model.  This is not to be mistaken for a fitness model.  Bikini athletic has more muscle density and conditioning than bikini without the muscle size and detailed separation of a fitness model.
  • Capped roundness to the shoulders sets bikini athletic models apart from bikini models. More back width to enhance an hourglass shape without being as developed as the Fitness model category. 
  • Some separation through the quads from the front and between the quads and hamstrings from side on.
  • Glute / hamstring tie ins from the rear without being overly defined or striated. 
  • Overall shape, curves and an hourglass silhouette with more fullness and definition than the bikini model category.  
  • A tight small waist / midsection. Tight abdominal control and no bloating/distension displayed in side on poses.
  • Full, shapely, firm glutes without any dimpling.  Glutes should remain full and firm when walking on stage.
  • Judges are also looking for overall beauty, effortless posing and stage walk as well as confidence on stage. 

Judges are not looking for:

  • Extreme conditioning to the detriment of fullness and shape.
  • Dense/excessive muscle or extreme muscle separation to the detriment of fullness.
  • Dimpling or loose skin especially in the glutes while walking on stage.
  • No overly exaggerated bending at the hips when facing the rear of the stage.
  • Bikini bottom cuts should not be too narrow as to look like a g-string on stage.
  • Leg and/or arm pieces are not permitted during the prejudging rounds.

70% Physique
30% Posing, beauty and overall stage presentation

Prejudging

  • Bikini Round (no arm/leg accessories)

Evening finals

  • Bikini Couture (arm/leg accessories permitted)
