Qualification Requirements for FMG World Championships 2026
To compete at the FMG World Championships 2026, all participants must meet the updated criteria designed to ensure a fair and competitive event:
Professional Qualification Requirement:
All professional athletes must qualify by participating in any FMG show held during the period from Worlds 2025 onwards but prior to Worlds 2026. Any amateur who is awarded pro status from Worlds 2025 onwards will be automatically qualified.
Amateur Eligibility:
Amateur athletes are eligible to enter the FMG World Championships 2026 without the need to qualify through a previous FMG show.
Exemptions:
Crown holders — that is, FMG Pro Show Champions who have hold an FMG Pro title and received a black & silver or black & gold sash/stole — are automatically qualified for FMG Worlds.
This update ensures that professional athletes continue to meet a high standard of competition while allowing amateur competitors greater flexibility in planning their season. FMG remains dedicated to creating an athlete-first environment where hard work and dedication are recognised, and every competitor has the opportunity to showcase their best on the world stage.
Please note: If you do not meet the qualification requirements, your registration will be declined. A refund will be processed, less a $50 administration fee.
We encourage all aspiring World Championship PRO competitors to plan ahead and secure their qualification by joining an FMG show. A full list of qualifying events can be found on our FMG SHOWS page.
Registration for FMG Worlds 2026 will open 10 weeks prior to the show.

Official Tanning Service
Fusion Tan is the official tanning provider for FMG International. They have developed a new specific formula for our stage lighting and to ensure all competitors have the correct tan to meet the FMG judging criteria. Traditional contest colour tanning is not suitable for our lighting and requirements.
Your FMG tanning package includes a skin primer, base coat and show day topcoat. The tanning team are backstage on show day for any touch up requirements.
Base tans are applied on Thursday and Friday before the show. Show day topcoats are applied backstage at the show venue.
Women’s show day top coats are applied 30 minutes prior to your H&MU appointment.
Please ensure you complete the skin analysis when booking your tan to ensure the team can have the perfect custom blend for skin type.
